    <para>Системный менеджер, демон инициализации других демонов в Linux, пришедший на замену используемого ранее SysV. Его особенностью является интенсивное распараллеливание запуска служб в процессе загрузки системы, что позволяет существенно ускорить запуск операционной системы.
